The returning of 10% of income is tithe. Tithe giving is a Biblical principle which expresses a person’s financial faithfulness to God. The tithe received is used for the pastoral ministry and is the financial basis for funding the denomination’s world mission endeavor. The tithe in Loma Linda Korean SDA Church is not kept by the church but is forwarded to the Southeastern California Conference in accordance to the denomination policy.
In addition to returning a faithful tithe, members are encouraged to support various ministries, projects, and mission work. Local Church Budget provides fund for local church ministries. Church Growth Fund provides revenue for local-hired ministry staff. Other offerings such as Youth, Campus, and Youth Ministries will be used for the specified ministries as indicated.
