Children's programs

We are committed to building a children's ministry that is directly linked to our vision, "To Make Christ-like Disciples".  It is based on a Family-Equipping Model that balances the role between parents as the primary influencers and the church as empowering partners for the faith development of children.

sabbath school

For Sabbath School programming we will use Hands-On Bible Curriculum that allows students to learn their Bible stories and lessons in a more interactive and relatable format that will keep them engaged and focused.  Depending on the age group, there is a music component, hands on activities, interactive stories as well as visual aids to go along with each story. Classes are available for Green (Pre-K/Kindergarten), Yellow (1st and 2nd grade), Orange (3rd and 4th grade), and Blue (5th and 6th grade).

Family Friday Fellowship

Friday evening's mark the end of a busy week and the beginning of the Sabbath.  We can't think of a better way to celebrate that with a family-focused program to enrich children and parents alike.

  • 4:00 – 5:00 pm.  An enrichment time for children that rotates periodically with music/choir, language (Korean), arts, and cooking classes.  To help defray some of the costs, a nominal fee per child/per semester will be asked upon enrollment.
  • 5:00 – 6:00 pm.  An informal potluck for families of the children participating in the program.
  • 6:00 – 7:00 pm.  A small group study for parents and a vespers program for the children.  A Group Ministry curriculum called Dig In will be used to provide creative, multi-sensory teaching that immerses kids in deep Bible learning, helping them to know Jesus personally and grow in a relationship with him.

kid's worship

Once a month, there will be a worship service for preschool and elementary-aged children.  The purpose is to teach children to actively worship God by praising, listening, & praying in relevant but reverent ways.  Worshiping together as a family offers an invaluable lesson on the importance of being together as a family, so it is not the intent of Children’s Ministry to supplant the main worship service, but rather supplement it as a tool to help kids learn the relevance and importance of worshiping on the Sabbath.  KidsOwn Worship from Group Ministry along with special guest speakers will help create a fun and powerful children’s church experience through music, Bible points, and other worship activities.
